PIERS MORGAN'S LIFE STORIES: ALESHA DIXON ITV, 9pm Like Piers Morgan, Alesha Dixon knows what it's like to watch a parade of performing dogs, street dance troupes and alleged comedians as a judge on Britain's Got Talent. But they won't be spending the entire hour swapping anecdotes about Simon Cowell, as Alesha's life and career provide plenty of other topics for conversation. She talks about her first brushes with fame as part of the group Mis-Teeq and then as a solo artist, only to go through a difficult period.
8 OUT OF 10 CATS DOES COUNTDOWN Channel 4, 9pm Some people will be surprised to learn that 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown is back, mainly because it feels like it's never been away. In fact, viewers who are normally out of the house during the afternoon may be under the impression that Jimmy Carr now spends more time in the question master's chair than regular Countdown host Nick Hewer. But that doesn't mean we're not glad to see it back for a new three-episode run, especially as in the first edition team captains Sean Lock and Jon Richardson are joined by a guest contestant who seems like he would be almost at home on the daytime version of the quiz - David Mitchell. But will Roisin Conaty prove to be more of a whizz with words and numbers? Meanwhile, Phill Jupitus is taking up residence with Susie Dent in Dictionary Corner, and Joe Wilkinson will be "helping" the long-suffering Rachel Riley with the letters and numbers.

The last thing Mr Church needs is another rival for the French teacher's affections, so he sets out to find her the perfect present.
