TV: Dressing up the truth on what suits us best.

THE only answer we want to hear is 'Of course not!' when we ask 'Does my bum look big in this?'. But sometimes, although it may hurt, we need the truth - everyone needs a friend to tell them what not to wear.

Never backward in coming forward, Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine have the guts to tell it like it is and, in the process, transform ugly ducklings of fashion into stylish swans. They believe that everyone looks good in something, and the trick is finding what that something is.

Each week, a member of the public is nominated by their friends for the What Not To Wear treatment. They're secretly filmed in less-than-flattering outfits before meeting Trinny and Susannah for some wardrobe analysis. Then comes the best bit, when they're given pounds 2,000 spending money to buy three new outfits.
