TURNER NETWORKS TOP CBS, NBC AND ABC SHARE OF VIEWING
 IN CABLE HOMES
ATLANTA, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.'s (TBS) (AMEX: TBS.A) four basic cable networks continue to capture a larger share of viewing in cable homes than any of the broadcast networks.
In the 12-month period from March 1991 to February 1992, Turner networks -- CNN, Headline News, TNT and TBS SuperStation -- garnered a 10.8 share compared to 10.3 for CBS, 9.4 for NBC and 8.5 for ABC.
"Turner Broadcasting's dominant position is particularly noteworthy since the most recent 12-month average excludes the substantial ratings achieved by CNN during the Gulf War," said Robert Sieber, TBS vice president of research.
TBS maintained a 27 percent lead over ABC programming, while delivering 15 percent more audience than NBC and 5 percent more than CBS (including Winter Olympics).
