TURNER CONSTRUCTION TO HANDLE ARENA PROJECT IN NASHVILLE

 NEW YORK, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Construction of a 20,000-seat multipurpose arena facility in Nashville, Tenn., will be managed by Turner Construction Company, according to an announcement made today by the Turner


Corporation (AMEX: TUR), the nation's leading general builder.
 Preconstruction services for the facility are already underway with construction scheduled to start in August 1994. The state-of-the-art arena features accommodations for television, radio and print media, stages, ticketing and administrative offices, as well as 20,000 square feet of backstage storage, a new 1,000-car parking deck and more than five acres of surface parking. Project completion is projected for May 1996.
 "This is one of Nashville's most exciting new projects," commented Hal Bunshaw, general manager of Turner's Nashville territory. "We're very happy to be a part of it and to serve Nashville's metro government as their project development manager for the arena."
 Turner has considerable experience in the construction of sports facilities and arenas. Currently, Turner is managing construction of the 21,200-seat Gateway Arena in Cleveland, and acting as construction manager/general contractor for the Oregon Arena project in Portland. In 1989, the company completed the Charlotte (N.C.) Coliseum and served as the owner's agent for the Anaheim (Calif.) Arena which opened earlier this summer. Other experience includes projects at the New Chicago Stadium, the Cleveland Browns training facility, Tiger Stadium in Detroit and Mile High Stadium in Denver.
