TURNER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AWARDED CONTRACT FOR NEW RESEARCH COMPLEX FOR ETHYL CORPORATION

 NEW YORK, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Richmond Office of Turner Construction Company has been awarded the contract to construct a petroleum additives research facility for Ethyl Corporation according to an announcement made today by the Turner Corporation (AMEX: TUR), the nation's leading general builder.
 The facility which will be built on the site of the former State Penitentiary in downtown Richmond will support research and development activities by Ethyl Petroleum Additives, Inc. Situated on a 16-acre park-like site, the state-of-the-art facility will include a six-story office and chemical research building housing chemical and analytical labs. An adjacent mechanical laboratory wing will house engine testing cells. The primary purpose of the facility will be to carry out sophisticated testing of gasoline and diesel engine lubricants, hydraulic fluids, automotive gear lubricants, industrial gear lubricants, automatic transmission fluids and gasoline and diesel fuel additives. Occupancy of the laboratories will begin in May 1994 with total completion scheduled for August 1994.
