 TURNER CONSTRUCTION AWARDED TWO LARGE PROJECTS IN CLEVELAND
 NEW YORK, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Construction Company today announced that its Cleveland territory office has recently secured two large projects to be located in Cleveland. One is for the Cleveland Public Library; the second is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
 The first is a construction management contract with the Cleveland Public Library for improvements to the two-building complex consisting of a main library and a business and science building. Total size is 423,000 square feet and the total project cost is $90 million. The buildings are separated by a small park, the Eastman Garden, and the entire complex is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
 The scope of work includes a broad range of enhancements and upgrades to the two facilities. The architect for the project has not been selected.
 The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum also recently awarded Turner a construction management contract to construct the 135,000- square-foot facility. The total contract is approximately $45 million. The design team for the project is led by Pei, Cobb, Freed & Partners and Robert P. Madison International. Construction is expected to start in the spring of 1993.
 Paul R. Creighton, vice president and general manager of Turner's Cleveland office, remarked: "The award of these two large and prestigious projects is a demonstration of the continued viability of the Cleveland economy and the continued investment in its urban center. We are proud to be a part of this activity."
 The Cleveland office of Turner Construction Company was started in 1964 with the start of the Erieview Plaza tower for John W. Galbreath & Co. Turner has completed numerous notable projects in Cleveland, including the 1.4-million-square-foot Society Tower, Bank One Center, and Renaissance Center on Playhouse Square. Projects under way include the 400,000-square-foot Society National Bank expansion, the Children's Hospital of Akron, and the $105 million Cleveland Cavaliers Arena.
