TURKEY-TURKMENISTAN -"Constitution Monument" built by Turkish company inaugurated in Ashkabad.

ASHKABAD, May 18, 2011 (TUR) -- A monument titled "Constitution Monument" and built by a Turkish company was inaugurated in the Turkmen capital of Ashkabad on Wednesday as part of celebrations to mark the national Constitution Day and Festival of Development and National Unity.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, several Turkmen officials, foreign diplomats and Turkish citizens were among those who attended the inauguration of the monument built by Turkey's Polimeks company.

The monument is 185 centimeters tall with dimension of 72x72.

The monument includes a conference hall, museum and a library.

The new monument is regarded as a symbol of Turkmen people's unity and was inaugurated on the 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.

Total cost of the monument was 45 million USD.
