Suheyl Batum of the Republican People's Party (CHP) and Burhan Kuzu of the Justice & Development (AK) Party, who attended a panel discussion at Ankara University's Political Sciences Faculty, were protested. Students prevented Batum from speaking, and threw eggs on Kuzu. Police used pepper spray to disperse students at the garden of the faculty. Batum started his speech by saying that CHP did not approve the police violence against students in Istanbul. Despite this, Batum became a target of protestors and a student yelled as, "CHP is also a facist party like the AK Party." Batum said, "if you do this to me and Burhan Kuzu, this is also fascism. If the prime minister (Recep Tayyip Erdogan) or (state minister) Egemen Bagis were here, you would already been hit. 25-30 people cannot prevent their friends from listening to us by a facist behaviour."
IT IS THE SAME INTRIGUE WITH ISTANBUL
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on the protest at the Political Sciences Faculty. Erdogan said, "the intrigue plotted in Istanbul is the same with that in Istanbul. University management is guilty. How could they allow in the students carrying eggs? There were some people in the front lines who were not students. Our police will show its attitude in such a process."
