TURKEY-NEW GVT (13) -Cevdet Yilmaz appointed as Development Minister.

ANKARA, Jul 6, 2011 (TUR) -- A Justice and Development (AK) Party deputy from the eastern province of Bingol, Cevdet Yilmaz, has been appointed as Turkey's Development Minister.

Yilmaz was born on April 1, 1967 in Bingol.

Yilmaz graduated from the Middle East Technical University (METU) with a degree in Public Administration. He has a master's degree in International Relations from the Denver University in the United States.

Yilmaz obtained his doctoral degree in Political Science at the Bilkent University.

He served as a State Minister in the 60th government.

Yilmaz speaks English and is married with two children.
