ANKARA, Apr 10, 2011 (TUR) -- The Turkish prime ministry said on Saturday that the "Ankara" ferryboat, which departed from Turkey's western Cesme port on Friday, carried 45 Libyan nationals and a Palestinian who had been brought to Turkey for medical treatment back to the Libyan city of Benghazi.

The ferryboat also carries the bodies of a Libyan national and an Egyptian citizen who lost their lives during their stay in Turkey, Turkish Prime Ministry announced on its web-site.

The announcement said that 26 security officers, 6 medical personnel and 2 TRT staff were also on board the Ankara ferryboat.

The ferryboat, which will carry the Libyan passengers to Benghazi, will later proceed to Misurata city of Libya and conduct two trips between Misurata and Egyptian city of Alexandria to evacuate Egyptian citizens, the announcement also said.
