TURKEY TREASURY BOND AUCTIONS -Turkish treasury borrows nearly 4.1 billion TL on two auctions.

ANKARA, Jan 31, 2011 (TUR) -- Turkish Treasury said Monday it sold a total of 4.1 billion Turkish lira of 3-year and 9-year bonds.

In the auction for quarterly couponed TRY-denominated fixed coupon bonds with three-year maturity, nominal bids totaled 1.93 billion TL and net sales amounted to 1.409 billion TL. Simple interest rate was 8.84 percent and compound rate was 9.14 percent. The Treasury sold a total of 1.7 billion TL of the January 29, 2014 bond including sales to market-makers.

In another auction for the January 24, 2018 semi-annually couponed TRY-denominated floating coupon bonds with seven-year maturity, nominal bids reached 1.632 billion TL, while nominal sales were 1.177 billion TL and net sales amounted to 1.173 billion TL. The interest rate was 3.76 percent. Sales to public institutions and to market-makers amounted to 200 million TL and 1.210 billion TL, respectively.
