TULISA: I'M NO CHERYL; X factor judge fumes over copycat slurs.
X FACTOR judge Tulisa Contostavlos yesterday hit out at constant claims she's copying Cheryl Cole claiming: "I do not want to be her."
The 23-year-old was chosen by Simon Cowell to take over from the Girls Aloud star when Cheryl was chosen to be a judge on the American version of the show.
And despite Cheryl then getting the axe and reports she was offered her job on the British version back, it never happened.
Tulisa took her place alongside former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland, Take That's Gary Barlow and the only original judge left, Louis Walsh.
The foursome have been travelling up and down the country watching the auditions for the new series which launches on the telly next month.
But N-Dubz singer Tulisa has been singled out by critics who claim she has changed her "chav-look" and now has the more polished appearance of Cheryl.
But yesterday on Twitter she denied morphing into her predecessor, claiming: "I am my own woman. I do not wanna be someone else and never could.
"I've got so much respect for Cheryl and really like her, but I do not want to be her."
Tulisa, who was one of the guests at Cheryl's 28th birthday party in London earlier this year, began her Twitter rant by admitting she wanted to set the record straight with the stories that were "bugging" her.
She reckons she is not concerned about being compared to Cheryl and said: "It doesn't bother me - she's a lovely girl and she's inspiring because we both came from nothing to something."
There were also stories that her secretive relationship with N-Dubz bandmate Fazer Rawson was under strain because of her filming commitments to X Factor and claims he didn't like her new glossier look.
Tulisa added: "As for the story about my relationship I have never confirmed who I'm with and never will.
"It's a load of rubbish, I have no relationship issues right now."
She added: "As you know, I will never change, no matter what position I'm in."
