TUBBY'S OPENS SECOND AND THIRD SEARS CAFE EXPRESS SUBSHOPS

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Tubby's, Inc. (NASDAQ: TUBY) is opening its second and third Cafe Express Specialty SubShops in Sears stores at the Oakland Mall in Troy, Mich., and the Fairfield Commons Mall in Beaver Creek, Ohio, near Dayton, Alex Bardy, president and CEO, today announced.
The corporate-owned Cafe Express SubShops serve Tubby's famous submarine sandwiches, salads, desserts, soft drinks, gourmet coffee and Morley's premium chocolates. The new Cafe Express SubShops are patterned after the company's highly successful prototype store opened in February in the Sears store at Fairlane Town Center in Dearborn, Mich.
The 1,500-square-foot Cafe Express in the Fairfield Commons Mall is the company's first foray into the Dayton marketplace. The Oakland Mall Cafe Express is 2,500 square feet.
Bardy said additional stores are scheduled to open by month's end in Sears stores at the Livonia Mall near Detroit and Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids, Mich. -- also a new market for the company. The company has just received approval to open a sixth Cafe Express SubShop at a major Sears store in Cleveland.
Tubby's, Inc., founded in Michigan, is the franchisor for Tubby's SubShops and Stuff-Yer-Face Restaurants and the owner-operator of Cafe Express Specialty SubShops with 62 stores in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and New Jersey.
