TTI SOLVES CAD-TO-CAD/CAD-TO-CAM INTEROPERABILITY PROBLEMS.

Translation Technologies, Inc. (TTI), Spokane, Wash., (www.translationtech.com), has announced that following 18 months of development it has formally launched an Internet- based e-commerce solution for design and manufacturing organizations.

The company has developed breakthrough technology that solves the key CAD-to-CAD and CAD-to-CAM interoperability problems that cost manufacturing organizations billions of dollars every year. TTI's Acc-u-Trans process produces fully modifiable native file translations that are the most accurate in the industry, by avoiding the errors associated with STEP, IGES or other neutral file formats.

Acc-u-Trans quickly, accurately and economically translates a native part file into the native part file format of the CAD or CAM system of the user's choice. Using Acc-u-Trans, design and manufacturing organizations can now convert from one CAD or CAM system to another without having to use error-prone neutral files. Acc-u-Trans file conversions work without additional clean-up, tweaking, healing or hassles. Files are ready to use the moment they are retrieved from TTI's secure web site.

"In these days of limited resources, it's a rare organization that has the luxury of spending days or even weeks trying to correct or redraw a part file," said TTI president Fred Zucker. "Our development team is composed of engineers who have spent years dealing first-hand with this frustrating process. This is why the Acc-u-Trans process was developed. Eliminating this time-consuming, costly process allows engineers to focus on more productive work."

TTI can deliver completed translations over the Internet to design and manufacturing organizations of all sizes throughout the world. In most cases, translations are forwarded to the client within 24 hours of receipt.

Current formats available are: Pro/E 20 and 2000i, CATIA and MasterCam. According to Zucker, the company intends to offer translations to and from all major CAD and CAM systems. Additional supported formats will be announced throughout the year.

Translation Technologies Inc. (TTI), an application service provider, offers breakthrough technology that truly solves the costly, time-consuming errors and problems associated with CAD to CAD and CAD to CAM interoperability. TTI saves manufacturing organizations time and money by quickly providing accurate translations into the native format of the CAD or CAM system of their choice. The privately held company is headquartered in Spokane, Wash., and was founded in 1999. For more information, please visit www.translationtech.com.
