TSS LTD. ELECTS FORMER HEAD OF SPERRY & HUTCHINSON CHAIRMAN; REVERSE SPLITS STOCK; OTHER NEW MEMBERS ALSO ELECTED TO BOARD

 PROVIDENCE, R.I., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- TSS Ltd. (NASDAQ: TSSL) President and CEO, Michael A. Clark, announced today that William Penwell, former chairman, president and CEO of Sperry & Hutchinson, the S&H Green Stamp company, had been elected chairman. He fills the vacancy caused by the death in December of TSS chairman and founder Robert K. Stern.
 The shareholders also approved a plan to effect a reverse split of the company's common stock on a one-share-for-ten basis and to set the number of authorized shares at 18 million, effective Feb. 24, 1993.
 Also elected as new members of the TSS board were Robert J. Foley, a consultant in the packaged goods manufacturing and retailing industries and Gerald R. Saltzgaber, a partner in Marketing Corporation of America. Present members of the board, including Stephen K. Brimhall, Michael A. Clark, Coleman A. Nutter and E. Donald Shapiro, were reelected. Michael D. Kaufman stepped down to pursue other business obligations.

They are experienced as leaders in point-of-sale and in-store media promotional marketing with years of senior level experience in packaged goods manufacturing, retail promotions and retailer-manufacturer relations.
 "Bob Foley is a senior executive officer with Robert J. Foley, Inc., a California marketing and consulting firm. He has spent his career as a consultant to major packaged goods manufacturers and retailers.
 "Bill Penwell served as chairman and CEO of Sperry & Hutchinson Company from 1989 to 1992. Sperry & Hutchinson's Green Stamp program was the first nationwide incentive program for consumers. From 1986 to 1989 he was president and CEO of Sperry & Hutchinson. He has over 25 years of senior management experience in the consumer motivation and promotion businesses with particular expertise in supermarket retailing.
 "Bill and I had the opportunity to work together creating the CounterPoint Club program, S&H's frequent shopper/database marketing business. He has continued to be involved with database marketing for the past six years.
 "Jerry Saltzgaber is a partner in Marketing Corporation of America, a marketing and promotions company. From 1988 to 1991 he was CEO of Citicorp POS Information Services, Inc. He was also director of Card Business Strategic Planning of Citicorp POS Information Services. From 1984 to 1988 he was director of American Consulting Corp., a marketing company. Because he headed various business units at General Food Corp. for 18 years, from 1962-1980, he also offers TSS senior level experience in the packaged consumer goods industry," Mr. Clark said.
 TSS currently operates computerized, electronic pre-purchase coupon programs in Ralphs supermarkets in southern California and in Kmart stores concentrated in Michigan and Ohio. In addition, TSS has letters of intent for demonstration programs with divisions of supermarket chains, including Sentry Markets, a division of Fleming Companies and Kroger Stores.
