TRW's New Advanced Inventory Management Software Brings Real-Time Warehouse Control to QAD's MFG/PRO Users.

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 22, 1999--

TRW (NYSE: TRW) Integrated Supply Chain Solutions (ISCS) today announced its most powerful tool for warehouse control: Advanced Inventory Management (AIM). AIM integrates with QAD's MFG/PRO(R) to give users real-time warehouse control with increased inventory and space tracking detail.

AIM is designed to improve warehousing efficiency and space utilization, lower inventory costs and better manage resources. AIM addresses all aspects of warehousing, including enhanced inventory control, task management, replenishment, radio frequency environment and put-away and picking logic.

"AIM can be viewed as adding an extra level of detail between factory site and warehouse location," said Didier Chavet, complementary product sales and support director of TRW ISCS. "It allows automated tracking of inventory and space in a warehouse to a degree not possible before."

AIM's suite of programs and parameters allows users to manage their inventory processes along with providing a wide range of control, inquiry and reporting functions. Users may define warehousing tasks, prioritize tasks, set up internal routings and step-by-step paths for the movement of goods as well as define rules for stock allocation, replenishment, put-away and picking.

AIM is one of six complementary software offerings to QAD's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that are from TRW ISCS. Other products include Rules-Based PROCON, Web-Enabled Rules-Based E-PROCON, Rough-Cut Capacity Analysis (ROCCA), Tooling Management System (TOOL) and Salesforce Automation Package (BisGen).

The global systems integration business spans the supply chain continuum, serving clients in a wide range of industry sectors including automotive, semiconductor manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, pharmaceuticals and medical, electronics, aerospace and defense, third-party logistics, grocery, retail, apparel, and wholesale distribution.
