TRUST COMPANY OF THE WEST ANNOUNCES TWO SENIOR MANAGEMENT PROMOTIONS
 LOS ANGELES, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Trust Company of the West (TCW) has promoted Howard S. Marks to executive vice president and Kevin Hunter to senior vice president.
 Marks is responsible for managing three of TCW's major product areas -- convertible value, high yield and distressed corporate debt. He came to TCW in 1985 following a 16-year tenure at Citicorp Investment Management, where he was vice president and senior portfolio manager in charge of convertible and high-yield securities. His other responsibilities at Citicorp included working as a securities analyst and, subsequently, as director of research.
 He earned a master of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Chicago and a B.S.Ec. degree in finance from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
 Hunter joined TCW in 1983 as an equity analyst. He has been vice president of TCW since 1987 with primary responsibilities in the areas of convertible funds, portfolio management and marketing. Previously, he was an associate at the Economics Group Inc.
 He holds a master of business administration degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
 Trust Company of the West, headquartered in Los Angeles, is among the country's largest independent trust companies, with assets approximating $30 billion currently under management.
