TRUMP SPENDS 2 HOURS A DAY AT HIS DESK; Hardest shirking president.

Byline: CHRIS BUCKTIN reporters@dailyrecord.co.uk

US PRESIDENT Donald Trump spends less than two hours a day at work, it has been claimed.

A leaked report states he spends most of his working day having "Executive Time". Officials say that "almost always means TV and Twitter time alone".

"Executive Time" is on Trump's schedule every day from 8am to 11am, the report alleged.

Despite promising to be the hardest-working president in history, Trump then begins his official day of work - a start later than when he entered the White House last January.

One entry on the schedule states: "Trump has his first meeting of the day with chief of staff John Kelly at 11am.

"He then has 'Executive Time' for an hour followed by an hour's lunch.

"Then it's one hour 15 minutes of 'Executive Time' followed by a 45-minute meeting with national security adviser HR McMaster. "Then another 15 minutes of 'Executive Time' before Trump takes his last meeting at 3.45 pm before ending his official day at 4.15pm."

Designated work time adds up to an hour and three-quarters, with executive time taking up five-and-a-half hours.

His predecessor Barack Obama was at his desk at between 9am and 10am.

In his book Fire and Fury, author Michael Wolff claims the president likes to be in bed by 6.30pm, so he can watch TV, eat burgers and make calls about his viewing.

Trump's press secretary said her boss was "one of the hardest workers I've ever seen and puts in long hours and long days."
