TRNC-DETAINED GREEK CYPRIOTS -One of two detained Greek Cypriots appears in court.

LEFKOSA, Mar 13, 2011 (TUR) -- One of two Greek Cypriots who were detained on Saturday for illegally trespassing on a restricted military area of Maras (Varosha) in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) appeared in a military court on Sunday.

Two Greek Cypriots, Loizos Afksentiu and Yannakis Matsis, were detained together with Polish parliamentarians Jaroslaw Leszek Walesa, son of former Polish President Lech Walesa, and Artur Zasada for trespassing on a restricted area in TRNC on Saturday. European MPs Walesa and Zasada were released the same day.

Loizos Afksentiu appeared in a military court and then released on bail to be tried by a civil court. However Matsis who has been receiving medical treatment at Gazimagusa State Hospital did not appear in the court.
