LEFKOSA, Mar 14, 2011 (TUR) -- A Turkish Cypriot court on Monday released two Greek Cypriot men after being held for two days for illegally trespassing on a restricted military area of Maras (Varosha) in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) together with two European parliamentarians.

Greek Cypriot men were detained on Saturday together with Polish parliamentarians Jaroslaw Leszek Walesa and Artur Zasada who are members of the European Parliament. Polish parliamentarians were released the same day.

Greek Cypriot men Loizos Afksentiu and Iannakis Matsis appeared in a court on Monday and fined 200 TL each. They were released after paying the fine.
