TRIO CAGED FOR FLAT DRUG FARM.

THREE men who were caught running a cannabis farm in a block of flats were jailed.

Police found cannabis worth more than pounds 12,000 from a recent harvest being dried in one bathroom in the flat on Chapel View, Eastham, Wirral.

They also found the next batch of 145 small plants growing under a hydroponics systems in the living room.

Liverpool crown court heard how officers were called to the flats on November 26, last year by suspicious neighbours. When they arrived they immediately noticed the pungent smell and forced their way in.

Raymond Quan, Huy Mac, both of Chapel View, and Sang Phu, of Camplin Street, south-east London, were all arrested when they returned.

They all admitted production of cannabis, but the court heard Quan, 23, was the main organiser.

He was Jailed for two years and eight months.

Phu, 28, was jailed for the same length because he had a previous drug conviction. Gardener Mac, 41, was jailed for 18 months.
