 TRINOVA'S VICKERS OPERATIONS AWARDED HYDRAULIC PUMPS CONTRACT
 FOR NEW F-22 ADVANCED TACTICAL FIGHTER
 MAUMEE, Ohio, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- General Dynamics, Fort Worth Division, has awarded the Vickers operations of TRINOVA Corporation (NYSE: TNV) a contract to provide the primary and auxiliary-driven pumps for the flight controls hydraulic system and other fluid power functions on the new F-22 Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF). The F-22 is a twin- engine, single-seat air superiority fighter/interceptor aircraft being developed for the U.S. Air Force by Boeing, General Dynamics and Lockheed. The value of the initial contract is $4.2 million. Estimates project up to 648 aircraft which could result in a $50 million program value commencing in the late 1990s.
 The contract provides for engineering support and hardware for the Engineering Manufacturing Development and Pre-Production Verification phases of the F-22 program. A total of 15 shipsets including spares and mock-up will be shipped during the 1994 through 1996 time period.
