TRINOVA'S AEROQUIP NAMES STEVE SCHWAB GROUP VICE PRESIDENT OF ITS AEROSPACE GROUP

 MAUMEE, Ohio, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Stephen C. Schwab has been promoted to group vice president - Aerospace Group for Aeroquip Corporation, a TRINOVA company (NYSE: TNV). In this position, Schwab is responsible for Aeroquip's worldwide aerospace operations. He joins the Aeroquip Management Committee and reports to Howard Selland, president of Aeroquip and executive vice president of TRINOVA. He most recently was director - engineering services venture for Aeroquip where he was responsible for determining and directing new engineering services to support Aeroquip's operating groups. He replaces Daniel E. Kimmet who has been named group vice president of Aeroquip's Automotive Products Group.
 Schwab, 43, joined Aeroquip's former Sterling Engineered Products operations in 1984 as director of product design. He was named vice president of engineering for the Automotive Products Group in 1987. In 1989, he was appointed director of U.K. Automotive Operations in Brierley Hill, England, a position he held until being named director - engineering services venture in May 1992. Prior to joining the company, he was a product engineer for the Chevrolet Division of General Motors for 11 years.
 Schwab holds a bachelor of science degree in systems engineering from Wright State University and has completed the University of Michigan's executive management program.
