TRILLIUM HEALTH PRODUCTS SUPPORTS WASHINGTON SPECIAL OLYMPICS
SEATTLE, April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was released today by Washington Special Olympics:
A very special relationship between Trillium Health Products, the company that markets The Juiceman, and Washington Special Olympics (WSO) was recently announced. Trillium Health Products, a company dedicated to improving people's lives through nutrition education and health products, was welcomed into the Special Olympics family for their financial support of the upcoming Washington Special Olympic Summer Games.
Over 2,000 athletes with mental retardation will return to Fort Lewis, May 29-31, for its 24th year of summer sports competition. Aquatics, athletics, gymnastics, team handball, cycling, powerlifting and soccer are the sports which will be contested.
Trillium Health Products will sponsor the soccer venue where approximately 300 athletes will compete in head-to-head competition during the two-day sporting event. The soccer venue will feature competition in regulation and unified soccer.
"We are thrilled to have support from Trillium Health Products. They are a first-class organization with a true concern for nutrition and health -- all issues which WSO feels strongly about," replied Gil Gerretsen, Washington Special Olympics director of Marketing.
The Juiceman juicers have become one of the most popular juicers in the market today due to their incomparable quality and ease of use. The company has spent over a million dollars in research and development designing and improving the Juiceman Juicer. In addition, the company has also created a line of educational products including books, video tapes, audio cassettes and the health magazine, Choices.
Special Olympics is the world's largest year-round sports training and competition organization for children and adults with mental retardation. Founded in 1968 by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Special Olympics now exists in over 104 countries and all 50 states. Special Olympics has been endorsed by the International Olympic Committee, and is the only organization authorized to use their Olympic name on a worldwide basis. Currently nearly 1,000,000 athletes throughout the world participate, with over 6,800 athletes in Washington state.
