TRICORD SYSTEMS, INC. COMPLETES PUBLIC OFFERING OF 2,750,000 SHARES OF COMMON STOCK

 PLYMOUTH, Minn., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Tricord Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRCD) announced today that it has completed a public offering of its common stock at $19 per share. Of the 2,750,000 shares to be offered, 900,000 are being offered by Tricord and 1,850,000 by selling stockholders. The selling stockholders have granted the underwriters an option to purchase 412,500 additional shares to cover over-allotments. Net proceeds from the offering will be used for general corporate purposes, including working capital.
 The offering is being made through Smith Barney Shearson Inc.; Robertson, Stephens & Company, L.P.; and Dain Bosworth Incorporated.
 Tricord Systems, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets the PowerFrame family of enterprise servers. These servers are designed to meet the performance and reliability requirements of enterprise networking. The PowerFrame provides continued adherence to open industry standards. This new generation of computer is configurable to deliver LAN solutions such as file and peripheral serving, internetworking solutions that include WAN and mainframe gateways, and solutions for relational database and other mission critical applications moving to the network.
