 TRIBUNE OPERATING DATA FOR FIFTH PERIOD,
 FOUR WEEKS ENDING MAY 24, 1992
 CHICAGO, June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Consolidated revenues for Tribune Company (NYSE: TRB) were up 1.7 percent for the fifth period, the four weeks ending May 24, with revenues for newspapers up 1.9 percent and broadcasting and entertainment up 5.1 percent. Newsprint revenues were down 24 percent.
 For the period, advertising revenues for newspapers were up 1.3 percent, television up 5.7 percent and radio up 4.3 percent.
 Entertainment revenues, which includes sales from television programming and Chicago Cubs baseball, were up 3.5 percent. This is a smaller gain than previous periods this year, primarily because there were scheduled about one-third less home games for the Cubs in the period than a year ago. Television programming sales continued to show strong gains in the period and for the year.
