TRIBUNE NEWSPAPERS AD REVENUES UP 3.4 PERCENT IN FOUR WEEKS ENDING
 AUG. 30; BROADCASTING AND ENTERTAINMENT REVENUES UP SEVEN PERCENT
 CHICAGO, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Here follows summary highlight and operating data, plus comparisons from comparable periods, for Tribune Company (NYSE: TRB) business segments for the four weeks ending Aug. 30, 1992, and through the eight periods of the year.
 A. Summary highlights for the eighth period:
 1) Newspaper advertising revenues were up 3.4 percent on a 0.6
 percent increase in advertising inches for the seven papers.
 2) Classified revenues were up 8.9 percent, best gain (period over
 the previous year's period) since the 12th period in 1989, on a
 1.9 percent gain in volume.
 3) Television advertising revenues were up seven percent, which
 includes the first time revenues of recently acquired seventh
 television station, WPHL, Philadelphia.
 4) Newsprint revenues were down 23 percent on tons shipped down
 11.2 percent.
