TRIBUNE MEDIA BUSINESSES' REVENUES UP 6 PERCENT IN FIRST PERIOD

 CHICAGO, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Tribune Company's (NYSE: TRB) consolidated revenues from its media businesses for the first period, the five weeks ending Jan. 31, 1993, were up 6.1 percent verses the same period in 1992.
 Newspaper advertising revenues were up 3.2 percent. Retail revenues were up 2.5 percent, general (national) revenues were down 10.8 percent, and classified revenues were up 10.3 percent. Newspaper segment revenues, including circulation, were up 3.5 percent.
 Television revenues were up 19 percent. Radio revenues were up 15.9 percent. Entertainment revenues were down 16.4 percent. Combined revenues of the broadcasting and entertainment segments were up 12.4 percent.
