TRIBUNE COMPANIES ANNOUNCE NEIGHBORS IN NEED FUND: FIRST $500,000 MATCHED DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR

 CHICAGO, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Tribune Company's Midwest media businesses are joining forces to assist the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation in providing aid to 1993 flooding victims. The Chicago Tribune, WGN-AM, WGN-TV and ChicagoLand Television (CLTV) News are asking their audiences, beginning today, to contribute to the Neighbors in Need Fund.
 The Neighbors in Need Fund, a fund of the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation, will distribute funds to benefit those throughout the Midwest who require aid through programs such as the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army and the Second Harvest National Food Bank Network. The foundation will match contributions on a dollar-for dollar basis from its general funds for the first $500,000 received.
 Administrative costs of the fund will be borne by the participating companies and the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation. All money raised will go directly to organizations providing support to those who need the help. Donations should be sent to:
