TREE SPIRIT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HOLLAND BOWL MILL.
David Gier, president of Holland Bowl Mill, said his company now can turn its attention to its basic calling. "With this alliance with Tree Spirit, we will be able to devote our expertise to growing our craft and fine-art business," he said. "Tree Spirit is better situated to grow the housewares and gourmet bowl business."
The Holland Mill bowls are made from solid American hardwood, a product Zanner said few mills have the ability to produce. "The bowls are all one piece of wood, rather than a laminate," he said. "There are not even that many trees you can find to make a 17-inch-diameter bowl." The 17-inch bowl retails for $170, he added.
The line will be marketed under the Tree Spirit brand and include about 20 bowls of varying sizes, ranging in price from $10 to $170.
