TREASURE HUNTERS.

Byline: JAMIE BREESE

QI ONCE did some work for Dave Murray, the lead guitarist with heavy metal band Iron Maiden.

We got on really well and he gave me a collection of T-shirts, as well as the original drawings for the prints used on them. And they were all signed by him.

I was wondering if they were worth anything and who should I contact if I decided to sell them? - Tony Bibby, London A What a superb gift! Iron Maiden are one of the biggest heavy metal bands of all time.

they have been together since the late 1970s and Dave was there right from the start.

they have a huge and loyal fan base across the world and if the t-shirts were for members of the band they could be worth thousands of pounds, especially if they've got the band's mascot, Eddy.

It could be worth worth contacting a specialist auction house, dealing with rock memorabilia to get an idea of how much they are worth.

QI'VE a 1985 Vodafone-Recal mobile phone which has been unused for more than 25 years and is still in its original box.

It was the model which could be fitted in your car and also carried about if you were strong enough! Do you have an idea of its value? - Lee Benson, by email AthE Vodafone analogue network was the first to be set up in the UK and comedian Ernie Wise made the first call from St Katherine's Dock in East London to Newbury on January 1 1985.

I'm not sure which model you have, but it's likely to be the Vodafone/ Racal ME50t which should be marked "Made in Finland for Racal".

I believe the model was rebranded Nokia Mobira talkman and it was one of the world's first transportable mobile phones.

the value of early mobiles can vary hugely, however some early brick phones can be worth more than pounds 1,000, especially the very first ones, such as some versions of the Motorola Dynatac 8000x. I think you should hold on to your phone unitl it becomes clearer how much these early mobiles are worth.

QMY wife has a collection of 25 Barbie dolls still in their boxes from the 1970s and 1980s which she wants to sell.

What do you think they are worth and where would be the best place to sell them? - Dave Lamb, by email AthE Barbie doll is a worldwide phenomenon and more than a billion have been sold since 1959.

Ruth and Elliot handler of Mattel created the very first doll for their daughter Barbara.

Barbie's boyfriend Ken, who appeared the following year, was named after their son.

these first two Barbie dolls are highly sought-after but later models are also worth a lot of money.

the internet is great place to sell and buy them. I'd put one or two on one of the online auction sites with a reserve price to gauge their value. If you have the right dolls in the right condition they could be worth several thousand pounds.
