LIKE most 1970s crazes, wobbly egg-shaped Weeble people are worth watching out for. These mini plastic folk were weighted so they could never fall over.

Breese's Basic

FIRST figures from the USA by Hasbro were a family with a brown dog. UK Airfix models were called Romper Room. Even Disney had characters like Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse "Weebled". One of the last originals was a Sesame Street series. All the original sets are worth more than pounds 30 now.

How Much ?

YOU canfind most on the internet for about pounds 5. They didn't have names so look for descriptions such as "Weeble Girl with Brown Hair and Bag"and "Weeble Boy with Lolipop'. A Weeble car goes for around a tenner a Weeble plane for about pounds 15.

The Real Deal

WEEBLES are back on sale under the Playskool brand in bright new colours with new playsets. The Weebles Town Centre features music and sound effects for around pounds 30. At relatively cheap prices, these new models could be worth keeping boxed and mint.
