 BY ITS INSPECTORS OF ELECTION
 UNION, N.J., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- TransTechnology Corp. (NYSE: TT) announced today that it has accepted the final report of its inspectors of election indicating that the slate of directors proposed by Michael J. Berthelot had been elected at the company's annual shareholder meeting held on Sept. 23, 1992. The new slate of directors consists of Berthelot, Walter Belleville, and Richard J. Mascuch (all previously directors), and newly elected directors Patrick K. Bolger (group vice president of Aerospace Products), Dr. H. Gary Carlson, Thomas V. Chema, George S. Hofmeister and James A. Lawrence. The new board of directors is expected to meet this weekend to assume its duties.
 TransTechnology is a diversified manufacturer of industrial and aerospace products headquartered in Union.
