 TRANSTECHNOLOGY APPOINTS NEW BOARD MEMBERS
 UNION, N.J., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of


TransTechnology Corp. (NYSE: TT) yesterday appointed Walter Belleville of Fresno, Calif., and Henry St. John FitzGerald of Arlington, Va., to its board of directors, filling vacancies created by the resignations of Michael F. Roberts and the former chief executive officer, Ralph E. Hutchins, brining the number of board members to eight.
 Belleville is chairman and chief executive officer of ATI Machinery Inc. of Five Points, Calif., the largest Caterpillar tractor rental and leasing company in the western United States. He also serves as chairman of Sav-Trac of Arizona Inc., a heavy equipment repair facility in Phoenix.
 FitzGerald is an attorney engaged in the private practice of law in Arlington and also serves on the board of directors of Research Industries Inc., the company's largest shareholder.
 Belleville and FitzGerald were each appointed to the Audit Committee.
 In other action, the board determined that the annual meeting of shareholders would be held on Sept. 23, 1992, in New York City. Shareholders of record as of July 26, 1992, will be eligible to vote at the meeting.
