TRANSFER TALK; Who's going where in the wild world of the web.

EVERTON are weighing up a move for Newcastle United's out-of-contract winger Sammy Ameobi.

The Argus names the Blues as the most high-profile suitors for the 23-year-old's services with his current contract with the Magpies expiring at the end of this month.

Ameobi has been offered a new deal at St James' Park but is reported to be looking for a move away in search of more regular first team football.

West Bromwich Albion and Brighton & Hove Albion are also in the hunt for the rangy 6ft4in wide-man who is the younger brother of former Toon stalwart Shola Ameobi while Burnley and Wolves are also monitoring his situation.

Guingamp hot-shot Claudio Beauvue is stalling on a lucrative move to Al-Jaish in Qatar in the hope that Everton or West Ham United will provide him with the chance to play in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old netted 27 goals for the Brittany club last season and L'Equipe say he has been offered a 2.5million salary after tax by the Gulf outfit but is holding out on a move to England instead.

A Guadeloupe international, his free-scoring form over the past 12 months has far eclipsed any of his previous form during his career.

One of the oddest rumours of the summer continues to rumble on with the Blues again linked to former Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles.

Fanatik say that Roberto Martinez is planning a 4m Euros bid for the Portuguese international who has been capped 76 times.

His current employees Fenerbahce, who have just appointed Meireles' compatriot Vitor Pareira - an unsuccessful candidate for the Everton job in 2013, as their new coach and are looking to lower the average age of their squad and the 32-year-old is now free to go if the right offer comes in.
