TRANSCOR WASTE SERVICES, INC. ANNOUNCES AWARD OF COLLECTION CONTRACT

 TAMPA, Fla., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- TransCor Waste Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRCW) ("TransCor") announces that it has been awarded a contract for collection services by the Duval County School Board. The contract will be serviced by TransCor's operating subsidiary, Kimmins Recycling Corp., from its Jacksonville, Fla. transfer and recycling facility. TransCor estimates annual revenue from the contract, which commences July 1, 1993, to be approximately $650,000.
 Francis M. Williams, chairman of the board, stated, "It is our plan to expand our already successful operations in the transfer and recycling of construction and demolition debris and yard waste by positioning the company to successfully win multi-year collection contracts with municipalities, government agencies, and private parties. The Florida market has a vast amount of collection contracts and exclusive franchises available for bid each year, and we have already been awarded five contracts over the last two years." Williams further stated, "Our control of overhead and fixed operating expenses has enabled us to become a low-cost provider without sacrificing our high standards for safe and quality work programs."
 TransCor provides solid waste management services to commercial, industrial, and residential customers in the state of Florida. TransCor's services include transfer, collection, transportation, segregation, recycling, demolition, and disposal. TransCor is headquartered in Tampa, Fla. and operates facilities in Miami, Dade County; Clearwater, Pinellas County; Tampa, Hillsborough County; Jacksonville, Duval County; and Lantana, Palm Beach County.
 Kimmins Environmental Service Corp. (NYSE: KVN) owns 74 percent of TransCor.
