TRANSCO NAMES NEUHAUSEL SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION

 HOUSTON, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Transco Energy Company (NYSE: E) has named Nicholas J. Neuhausel as senior vice president of Human Resources and Administration, responsible for all human resources and administrative activities of Transco.
 Neuhausel, 47, was previously with Sun Company, Inc. for 25 years, where he held various positions in the human resources area, including vice president, Human Resources and Administration for Sun Refining and Marketing Company. He holds engineering and law degrees from the University of Toledo and a master of science degree in management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
 Neuhausel will assume the corporate human resources and administrative duties currently held by Thomas W. Spencer, senior vice president and chief administrative officer for Transco. Spencer, 64, will continue as president and chief operating officer of Transco Coal Company.
 Transco Energy Company transports natural gas through its interstate pipeline systems to markets in the eastern and midwestern United States, arranges for the transportation and sale of natural gas throughout the United States, and is active in independent power generation and natural gas vehicle fueling services. Transco also maintains modest positions in other energy-related businesses.
