TRACOM REPORTS ON WORKPLACE TRENDS FOR 1993

DENVER, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Crisis and change management related to the recession will be the key issues in the workplace for 1993, according to the TRACOM Corp., a leading industrial psychology and corporate training and development firm.
"Our studies indicate that workers and management alike will face several challenges in 1993 as a result of corporate downsizing," said Joseph C. Ratway, president of TRACOM. "The primary psychological issues for workers include job insecurity, and anxiety over increasing workloads. Management will be looking at ways to maintain or improve performance while realizing the cost reductions of downsizing. Moreover, companies will be dealing with these issues within an environment demanding higher levels of customer satisfaction."
Ratway added that as companies become healthier, issues such as employee training and retraining, shortages of qualified employees and multi-cultural challenges will further complicate organizations' attempts to deal with massive restructuring.
Based in Denver, TRACOM is a leading international training and development technology organization, with affiliates worldwide. The company's products are based on the Social Style Model developed by its founders, industrial psychologists Drs. David Merrill and Roger H. Reid, over 30 years ago. Companies of all sizes, including the Fortune 500 level, enhance productivity as clients of TRACOM. As a subsidiary of Reed Publishing, TRACOM is part of a $3.5 billion, worldwide organization.
