TRACEY FLIES THE FLAG.

A LIVERPOOL hospital worker is flying the flag for NHS territorial army reservists.

Major Tracey Smith-Straney, whose day job sees her work in the blood laboratory at Fazakerley Hospital, has been featured as one of the faces of NHS staff who serve with the army as reservists.

Tracey, 45, from Burscough, can be seen on the NHS Careers website which features a number of NHS staff stories about how they became reservists.

Tracey said: "To be featured on the NHS Careers website and representing reservists working in the NHS is a true honour. I have received great support from various managers and colleagues in the NHS and think it is important to let other medical staff know how rewarding being a reservist can be."
