TRA holds workshop on negotiation skills.

Manama, Sep. 27 (BNA): The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has held an internal workshop on Negotiation Skills, in collaboration with KPMG,.

"Negotiation skills are important in any field, and it's important to us in the TRA that our staff members have a competent understanding of how best to prepare for and conduct negotiations in day to day business situations," according to Shaikh Mohamed bin Salman Al Khalifa, TRA's Manager of Human Resources.

"This workshop is in line with TRA's initiative to refine the knowledge base and abilities of its staff members, and careful consideration is placed into providing the most relevant training to all members where we see potential for professional growth."

Themed "The Positive Negotiation Skills Programme", the workshop was custom-made for TRA staff members to create awareness of the framework for developing negotiation skills, create a personal worldview profile and know it's application in negotiation and awareness of the importance of emotional intelligence in negotiations, hence increase one's own negotiation skills inventory.

In reviewing the various stages, tasks, and steps involved in a negotiation and learning the facts that are vital to managing a successful negotiation, staff will have the necessary tools to apply a structured negotiation planning technique.
