 TOYOTA REPORTS FIRST 10-DAY SALES FOR APRIL
 TORRANCE, Calif., April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Toyota Motor Sales (TMS)


U.S.A. Inc. today reported that total vehicle sales were up 40.7 percent over the same 10-day period last year, with year-to-date sales up 13.9 percent.
 Toyota sold 6,760 North American-built vehicles in the period, up 76.7 percent over last year. They represent 34.9 percent of Toyota's total U.S. sales, up from 27.8 percent in the same period last year.
 Total Camry sales of 5,675 for the 10-day period are 110.7 percent ahead of the same period last year. The domestically built Camry is up 117.2 percent to 4,232.
 Corolla sales are up 20.6 percent to 3,720 units for the period. Domestic Corolla sales rose 7.8 percent to 2,023.
 Toyota sold 2,783 pickups, up 36 percent for the period. Of those, 505 were domestically built.
 Toyota's Lexus Division reported sales of 1,681 cars for the period, up 83.9 percent, led by ES250/ES300 sales of 654, up 115 percent.
 There were nine selling days in the period for 1992 and 1991.
