 (a) Highlights: Toyota car sales (including Lexus) climbed more than 4 percent during October, compared to a year ago, setting an all-time sales record for the month. Individually, Lexus also set a one-month record with car sales up 44 percent -- an indication of the excellent consumer response to the luxury division's newest offerings, the SC 400 and 300 sport coupes and ES 300 luxury sport sedan. Sales of ES models totalled more than 2,900 units for the month.
Toyota continues to maintain its sales momentum with total vehicles sales of 90,866 compared to 89,536 vehicles sold a year ago.
