 TOYOTA REPORTS 19 PERCENT SALES INCREASE
 IN SECOND 10-DAY PERIOD OF AUGUST
 TORRANCE, Calif., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) U.S.A. Inc. today reported sales for the second 10 days of August.
 Total vehicle sales rose 19.1 percent to 33,122 units for the period. The all-new-for-'92 mid-size Camry again lead all models, accounting for 9,483 units for a 32.4 percent increase over the same period last year.
 Sales of all Toyota North American-built vehicles rose 35.4 percent to 15,146, led by the Corolla, which posted a 12.7 percent increase for the 10-day period.
 The percentage of Toyota's total North American-built vehicle sales increased to 45.7 percent of its total sales for the 10-day period, compared to 40.2 percent for the same period last year. Calendar-year-to-date sales of North American-built vehicles are running at 39.9 percent, up from 33.5 percent from a year ago.
 Total Lexus Division sales were up 70.1 percent, led by the ES300 with sales of 1,353 units, a 501-percent increase over the same period last year. Calendar year-to-date, Lexus Division has sold 55,832 vehicles, up 46.8 percent over last year.
 There were nine selling days in the 10-day period in 1992 and eight in the same period last year.
