TOYOTA ANNOUNCES PRICE OF T100 INTERMEDIATE-SIZE PICKUP
TORRANCE, Calif., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. (TMS) announced prices today for its all-new 1993 T100 intermediate-size pickup truck, which goes on sale Nov. 13.
The base price for the T100 4 X 2 is $13,998, with a five-speed manual transmission and $14,898 with a four-speed, electronically controlled automatic. Standard features include rear-wheel antilock brakes (ABS), V6 engine, 4 X 8-foot panel capacity between the wheel wells, removable tailgate, three-across seating and a 5,000-pound towing capacity, the highest of any standard half-ton pickup truck.
The price of T100 One-Ton, which features a 2,430-pound payload capacity, is $14,718, with a five-speed manual and $15,618 for the automatic.
Base price for the top-of-the-line Toyota T100 SR5 4 X 2 is $15,718 with manual transmission and $16,618 with the automatic.
The T100 is available as a four-wheel drive model starting at $17,368.
All prices are manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP).
Available options for T100 range from air conditioning to bedliners, with a variety of audio systems and option packages to suit a wide range of buyer preferences. The T100 air conditioning is the first system in a Toyota-brand vehicle to be chloroflourocarbon (CFC)-free, to help prevent damage to the earth's ozone layer.
Toyota's T100 adds a new choice for its primary buyer, the compact-truck owner looking for the utility of a bigger truck without giving up compact-truck attributes of efficiency and maneuverability.
All T100 trucks are powered by a 150-horsepower electronically fuel-injected 3.0-liter engine, and offer the added braking control of standard rear-wheel ABS. For added convenience, the tailgate can be removed without tools.
For 2WD models, standard power rack-and-pinion steering provides a sporty, car-like steering feel.
T100 4WD models offer additional sound insulation and rugged power recirculating ball steering, with Toyota's proven Hi-Trac independent front suspension and 4WDemand shift-on-the-move for effortless 4WD operation.
