TOWER HEIST 12A BEN Stiller [...]; THE REEL LOWDOWN.

TOWER HEIST 12A

BEN Stiller and Eddie Murphy's crime caper isn't a must-see, but its willingness to take a pop at the Warren Buffets of this world is admirable.

It's not Communists who are Hollywood's bad guys these days, but greedy businessmen.

Stiller plays apartment block manager Josh who's distraught to learn the building's owner (Alan Alda) has burned right through his employees' pension funds.

With the criminal capitalist under house arrest, Josh recruits his staff and residents (Casey Affleck, Gabourey 'Precious' Sidibe and Matthew Broderick) to break his safe, aided by a professional (Murphy).

It isn't the new Ocean's Eleven, but a sequence involving a car dangling from a skyscraper is well done, while Stiller and Murphy's yin and yang raises laughs.
