 TOP-20 CABLE MSO CROWN MEDIA NOW ICT STOCKHOLDER;
 SIGNS EXCLUSIVE DMX AFFILIATION AGREEMENT
 LOS ANGELES, July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Crown Media Inc., a subsidiary of Hallmark Cards Inc. and a top-20 U.S. cable television operator, has made an investment of $1 million in International Cablecasting Technologies Inc. (ICT) (NASDAQ: TUNE) and will distribute ICT's Digital Music Express(TM) (DMX(TM)) audio programming on its cable systems nationwide.
 The agreement was jointly announced today by ICT Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jerry Rubinstein and Crown Media Chairman and President James Hoak.
 "Crown Media is one of the cable industry's fastest growing MSOs (multiple system operators) with 750,000 cable subscribers," Rubinstein stated. "We're delighted that Crown sought out this opportunity to combine making DMX available to their growing subscriber base and to become an equity participant in ICT."
 Explaining Crown's decision to invest in ICT and distribute DMX in its markets on an exclusive basis, Hoak stated, "In order to keep our business growing and moving forward, we have sought additional viable revenue streams. We also want to enhance the value of our cable service to the subscriber. DMX has enabled us to do both. We can serve the total entertainment needs of our subscribers on a very high-quality basis."
 Crown's investment in DMX marks the company's first of several anticipated ventures into cable programming. According to Hoak, Crown was attracted to DMX because, "DMX is unquestionably the pre- eminent digital audio programming service today, with the best mix of titles and technology." Hoak added, "ICT has the financial wherewithal and management expertise for staying power, and we're glad to join the MSOs and cable industry companies that are equity participants."
 ICT's equity participants include Tele-Communications Inc. (TCI), Scientific-Atlanta, Viacom Cable, KBLCOM, Scripps Howard, Colony Communications and Shaw Cablesystems of Canada.
 Launched in September 1991, DMX has 50,000 cable subscribers in 135 cable systems nationwide. The 30-channel, commercial-free, CD- standard audio service is also distributed to commercial enterprises and will be available internationally.
 Founded in 1991, Dallas-based Crown Media is a subsidiary of Hallmark Cards Inc., the world's largest manufacturer of the greeting cards and related personal communications products. Crown Cable and Cencom Cable Associates are the cable television operating subsidiaries of Crown Media. Together they serve three-quarters of a million subscribers in 13 states. Crown Media acquired Cencom and its 550,000 subscribers in November 1991.
