How to calculate your estimated date of delivery (EDD) The average pregnancy is 266 days long measured from conception, or 280 days measured from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP).

Remember, 280 days (nine months and a week) is an average so this may differ for you. The possibility of your baby arriving on your EDD depends on you having regular 28-day cycles.

All doctors are prepared to say is that a normal pregnancy may be between 38 and 42 weeks.

To find out your EDD, work it out as follows: LMP + 9 months + 7 days 10.12.12 10.09.13 17.09.13
