TOP SOURCE SAFETY SEAT/STRATEGIC PARTNER UPDATE

NEW YORK, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The first Detroit automaker to contract for development of the Top Source Safety Seat Technology is continuing with sled tests for the initial vehicle project. There will also be sled tests conducted for the second vehicle project from the same car company. Additional automakers have now expressed preliminary interest to further review the technology. The Top Source Safety Seat promises to reduce lower torso injury during a frontal crash.
The technology captured interest from the insurance industry and prompted a dialogue of possible strategic partnering with regard to the safety seat, as well as other technologies relating to auto safety and security.
Top Source (AMEX: TPS.EC) Chairman Stuart Landow said, "Although insurance companies have provided financing and technical support for early stage technologies, they have yet to establish in-house capabilities to screen, develop and market these technologies to the auto industry. This service can be provided by Top Source benefiting all parties."
One insurance company recently chose not to make a direct investment in the overall company. They elected instead to continue to explore mutual opportunities based on specific technologies.
The company believes that continued progress on the safety seat as well as expanded and on-going dialogues with insurance companies may lead to partnering in regard to the safety seat and other technologies offering insurers financial and image benefits.
Top Source, Inc. develops and markets technologies, parts, and services for the transportation industries. Top Source has offices in Detroit, New York City and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
