TOP SACRAMENTO RESELLER TO TARGET HOME COMPUTER MARKET AT BIZ-TEC
The Software Connection of Sacramento, Calif., is collaborating with PC Manufacturer US Integrated Technologies (USIT) and the ASCII Group (a buying consortium of over 700 dealers in the United States and Canada) to target the home computer market during BIZ-TEC, held tomorrow through Friday at the Sacramento Convention Center.
Ranked in the top 25 Sacramento retail computer resellers, The Software Connection has learned that corporate users want to have the same efficient communication tools at home as they do in the office. The prohibitive costs for fax machines, modems, discreet voice mail systems, and upper level 386 processor-based systems, has changed due to the USIT/ASCII product called the HOME OFFICE. The system is environmentally sound by its paperless fax, filing systems, daytimer/calendar, address book, and its effect on the reduction of noise and air pollution.
The Software Connection has been in operation for nearly four years. Garry Yee, ASCII dealer and owner of The Software Connection, anticipates a large influx of Home Office users. "There are two major trends happening: with the shaky economy, people are moving into entrepreneurial ventures, and with growing environmental concerns, the state is increasing its support in telecommuting."
Thomas R. Cutler, national ASCII account manager for USIT, is to appear as a guest speaker on Friday at 11 a.m. during BIZ-TEC. His dynamism will show when he discusses Home Office computing and achieving success. Cutler's title before national ASCII account manager was sales/marketing product manager for USIT. Prior to his years at USIT, Cutler was vice president of his own technical software firm.
Cutler recently testified about the efficacy of telecommuting before the State Department of Transportation. "The business community wants to become a part of the cultural change which expands computing power into the home. It is clear that the basic computer is not enough...telecommuting will make a difference in a high American value: pollution control."
The Sacramento BIZ-TEC show is considered a "Shopping Mall for Business Owners." In its fourth year, this show has been considered a place where business owners and purchasing agents can meet with vendors with products from all facets of a business. Other keynote speakers are to cover such topics as, "Is Your Net Working?", the impact of Senate Bill 198, and the advancing female executive.
For a complimentary pass to Cutler's speaking event on Friday, April 24 at 11 a.m. in the Yellow Room, visit The Software Connection during BIZ-TEC held April 22-24 in the Sacramento Convention Center at booth No. 407 and No. 506.
