 TOP NAMES IN RETAILING FILL EARLY AGENDA
 FOR NRF'S 1993 ANNUAL RETAIL CONVENTION
 NEW YORK, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Some of the most important and best-respected names in national and international retailing appear on the preliminary roster for "Retailing 1993: A Turning Point," the National Retail Federation's (NRF) annual Convention and Expo, to be held Jan. 17-20, 1993, in New York. The NRF, the nation's largest retail trade association, will present the results of a major research project addressing customers' changing attitudes, values and shopping patterns.
 The industry's most important and best attended yearly gathering, the Convention draws over 14,000 retail executives to interact and learn the newest ideas and perspectives on all aspects of their business.
 At the 1993 event, those ideas will come from such eminent and visionary speakers as Joseph Antonini, chairman and CEO, Kmart; Dr. Noel Brown, director, Regional Office for North America, United Nation's Environment Programme; Ken Dychtwald, author, founder and president, Age Wave, Inc.; David D. Glass, president and CEO, Wal-Mart Stores; J.M. Haggar, Jr., chairman, Haggar Apparel Co.; Stanley Marcus, chairman emeritus, Neiman Marcus; Josie Natori, president, Natori, Inc.; Faith Popcorn, futurist, author and chairman, Brain Reserve; Allen Questrom, chairman and CEO, Federated Department Stores, Inc.; Leslie Wexner, chairman and CEO, The Limited, Inc.; and Lester Thurow, dean, MIT Sloan School of Management.
 The NRF concurrent Expo will encompass more than 1,340 exhibits featuring the newest developments and business tools designed to enhance retailers' bottom line.
 The Convention will feature a program for small businesses, and a symposium for international retailers.
 Advance registration is now being accepted for the Convention and Expo, to be held at the New York Hilton and Sheraton New York Hotels, and which is open to members and non-members of the National Retail Federation (NRF). Reduced rates for NRF members, small retailers, as well as special group rates for members are available.
